Jennifer Lopez’s Ex-Husband Ojani Noa Calls Her Mother A ‘Gold Digger’

Jennifer Lopez & Ojani Noa

Jennifer Lopez’s first ex-husband Ojani Noa has won the fight to release intimate footage from their short-lived marriage. But he isn’t happy with the way Lopez, her family and her legal team have been treating him and has gone as far as calling the singer’s mother a gold digger.

“I’m not that horrible guy to her or anybody,” Noa tells me. “I just wanted to get my life and story out there and for whatever reason people have judged me and misinterpreted my life. I’m a regular guy trying to make a living and trying to work. I never in my life or 12 years since I’ve been divorced from her ever said anything bad about her or her family.”

Noa claims that he was originally supporting Lopez when they met. He was earning good money in Miami, modeling and acting. But once her career took off he put his career on hold and worked as her bodyguard and trainer — none of which he regrets but does resent what Lopez’s mother has said about him

“Her mom went on [the] radio calling me a gold digger. I never was a gold digger. If anything that would be her [Lopez's mother] calling herself a gold digger because she was the one crying, asking Jennifer for money.”

Noa believes that his ex-wife and her very impressive team of lawyers have manipulated the media when it comes to his reputation. But says it wouldn’t be the first time Lopez and her lawyers have got the better of him.

“When we got divorced she hired her lawyers. She paid for [them] and everything. I didn’t know what was happening. I didn’t speak the language. Everything was done in English,” Noa, whose first language is not English, tells me. “I have tried in the past to tell her and her people what I was doing … They have managed to sue me and I haven’t done anything. All this stuff that [the video] is pornographic is coming from her part. Not my part. It’s not pornographic.”

Noa maintains that he has no idea why Lopez is so scared of him and the tapes.

“Besides the story is about me not about her,” he tells me. “If you see those videos it’s a beautiful thing. We were young, we went to Cuba. If anything people will like her more.”

George Clooney Pulls Out Of ‘The Man From UNCLE’: Exits Steven Soderbergh Film

George Clooney

George Clooney is human, after all.

The Oscar-winner was attached to star in friend Steven Soderbergh’s film adaptation of the 60s spy drama TV series, “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” but has pulled out of the flick, Deadline reports. According to E! Online, the exit comes thanks to the stunt-intensive script that the actor feared would put too much strain on his body, which is still healing from injuries suffered during the filming of the Middle East-set thriller.

“He said he just can’t do the action and stunt scenes,” a source from the film told E!. “In fact, I think he’s planning on having another operation during the time he would have been filming.”

Clooney has a busy fall, as it is; he will premiere “The Ides of March,” the political thriller he wrote, directed and starred in (along with Ryan Gosling) at the Venice Film Festival, and will also take lead in Alexander Payne’s film, “The Descendants.”

Soderbergh, Clooney’s “Oceans 11″ franchise director, is said to be continuing with the film; currently, he is working on stripper drama “Magic Mike.” He plans to make “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” one of his last three films before retiring.

Joseph Hyungmin Son, ‘Austin Powers’ Actor, Convicted Of Rape & Torture

Joseph Hyungmin Son

The actor who played Dr. Evil’s sidekick in the first ‘Austin Powers’ movie may face life in prison for taking part in a brutal abduction and gang rape.

Joseph Hyungmin Son, 40, was convicted last week of raping and torturing a 20-year-old woman in 1990, according to Los Angeles station KTLA. The victim was reportedly walking her dog on Christmas Eve near her home in in Huntington Beach, California, when Son and an accomplice abducted her at gun point. Son was accused of repeatedly raping the woman, sexually assaulting her with the gun then releasing her naked with her pants tied around her eyes.

Although the crime took place years before Son appeared in the 1997 “Austin Powers” movie, it wasn’t until 2008 that DNA evidence linked him to the attack. He will be sentenced September 19 and faces 15 years to life in prison.

Twitter MVPs: Pop Princesses Top Klout’s ‘Most Influential Actresses’ List

Pop Princesses

Forbes ranks the highest paid actors and PEOPLE has its “Most Beautiful” issue, but lately the lists with the most gravitas in Hollywood tell us who has the most influence online.

Is it the big players like Angelina, Reese, Julia? Not one bit. Those ladies are too busy counting their cash and well, working, to tweet. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that young Hollywood, particularly Disney’s pop princesses are by far the most popular actresses on the Internet.

This week Klout.com released its list of the top 10 actresses ranked by their Klout score, which is a measure of how much people pay attention to someone online. The popularity poll tells us that the top five most influential actresses in social media are none other than Demi Lovato (Klout Score: 94), Selena Gomez (92), Ariana Grande (90), Miley Cyrus (89) and Bella Thorne (87).

Average age of these influential tweeters? Seventeen.

This means these five young women have the most influence over their networks — meaning they tell them what to watch, what to listen to and what to buy.

So what exactly is a Klout score? The Klout weighs 25 variables, including the size of the social sphere — such as the number of followers — and the number of engaged followers and friends versus the number of spambots and dead accounts, to determine how much online influence a person has. Re-tweets and mentions are also taken into account, so it isn’t just how cool you are, but how cool your network is perceived to be. It is lunchroom politics boiled down to an algorithm.

There area few noticeable tweeters missing from Klout’s list, but just note that the three Kardashian sisters were excluded from the list because, well, they don’t act.

Klout may tell us who gets followers to do things, but there is another social media measurement that tells us who directly gets us to buy things. We had the folks over at Ad.ly, the company that pays celebrities to tweet on behalf of brands, compile a second list of their paid Tweeters to help us firgure out who is influential when it comes to getting consumers to click on things online.

Who is Ad.ly’s biggest actress influencer? This one’s a shocker.

Lindsay Lohan.

Her branded tweets are clicked on 3.5 times more than the average celebrity in the Ad.ly network.

“While we don’t disclose specifically what that Ad.ly celebrity average is, it is in the thousands. Lindsay is up there in the Mt. Rushmore of actresses on Twitter,” Ad.ly VP of Marketing Krista Thomas told The Huffington Post.

Lohan might not be able to sell a movie too easily these days, but she can get you to buys things she is paid to plug on Twitter.

Other top Ad.ly celebs? They might surprise you.

Though she’s been off the radar for awhile, Eliza Dushku’s tweets are clicked on 2.6 times the average and former “90210” star Tori Spelling’s tweets are clicked 2.5 times the average. Add the Kardashians into this mix and they are clicked on 3.4, 3.3 and 2.4 (Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, respectively) times the average Ad.ly celebrity.

It certainly doesn’t look like the celebrity Twitter phase will go away anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean every actress, reality star or singer has something important to say. Check out the slideshow below to see some of Twitter’s worst celebrity tweeters.

‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’: Steve Carell Talks Divorce, Infidelity In New Film

STEVE CARRELL

Divorce, and all the emotional turmoil that accompanies it, isn’t usually the basis for Hollywood comedies. But then, Steve Carell’s latest movie “Crazy, Stupid, Love” isn’t your typical Hollywood comedy. In the film, which opened in theatres nationwide Friday, Carell plays Cal, a lovably schlubby fortysomething man with two kids whose long-time wife Emily (Julianne Moore) informs him that she has cheated on him and wants a divorce. Putting up a fight isn’t Cal’s forte: no sooner has she told him she wants out than he’s rolling down their driveway—his driveway—in a U-Haul moving truck, head in hands, on his way to his depressing post-divorce bachelor pad. The marital ups and downs that play out over the course of the next two hours challenge the traditional romantic comedy script in ways we never thought possible (plus there are some decidedly excellent shots of Ryan Gosling’s abs–he stars as Jacob, Cal’s post-divorce dating and romance guru). Carell recently shared his thoughts about the central role divorce plays in the film with Huffington Post:

When Cal’s co-workers learn he’s getting a divorce, they’re incredibly relieved it’s not something serious–like cancer. That was hilarious. What do you think it says about the way we view divorce nowadays?

I think that’s a very astute scene. Divorce is fairly common these days, and I think many times people disregard the emotional impact that divorce has on a couple and a family, because it happens so frequently. What’s clear in the movie is how powerful and emotionally draining [divorce is]. It’s a huge loss and I think people tend to, I don’t know if trivialize is the right word, but I think they under-appreciate the enormity of the effect a divorce can have on people.

Huffington Post: There are so many elements of the film that HuffPost Divorce readers will be familiar with—things like Cal’s sad post-divorce bachelor pad and his friends having to choose sides after his split. Were you familiar with any of that in your own life?

Steve Carell: Some of my friends have gone through divorce after many, many years of marriage, so several elements of the movie ring true to me. Certainly, getting back into the dating game is a very frightening and daunting element [of the film] that is rooted in reality. I had a friend who, after 25 years of marriage, found himself trying to date again, and it was completely different. Everything had changed, and he had to reacquaint himself. It was funny even talking to him about it. For someone who has been out of the loop, it’s a different world.

HP: Had you ever been through a breakup of that enormity?

SC: Fortunately, no.

HP: There’s a line where Cal’s son says something about your character’s ex-wife, his mom, to the effect of, “She’s your soul mate, don’t give up on her.” Do you believe in soul mates?

SC: I do. I’ve been married 16 years and I believe that I found mine, so I certainly have that to base it on. I think I got lucky and ended up marrying the right person.

HP: Did that inform the way you played Cal?

SC: I think so. I think it also informed why I was attracted to the script. I do believe that you fight for who you believe are the right people in your life and people. Relationships shouldn’t be disposable. If there’s something worth saving—not always the case, some relationships are irreconcilable—but if there is something that you determine is worth saving, then try to do that.

HP: We hear a lot about marriages ending so quickly. From the moment your character’s ex-wife says, “I want a divorce,” there’s an incredibly quick transition to you moving out. Was that on purpose? As a viewer you kind of think, “Wait! Why did that happen so quickly”?

SC: That speaks to my character. It speaks to this guy who so easily walks away from [his marriage]. He’s someone who hasn’t seen any of the warning signs and [doesn’t react] even when faced with this huge piece of information. And you have to ask, is his wife just begging him to respond in some way? And when he doesn’t, that’s his default setting. Even faced with this pending divorce, he doesn’t respond—he won’t engage. And I think that’s really his problem: he isn’t engaged with her, and he needs to be. And once he allows himself to get mad, to become a part of the equation, then things can potentially change—either to move on or to figure out how to make it work.

HP: It’s interesting that in this movie, the wife has the affair, not the husband, which is the opposite of what we usually see

SC: Yeah that’s one of the things that was very important to me. But I didn’t want her character to be a villain in any way—she’s just a human being. Everyone is flawed and everyone makes mistakes and is culpable. There’s fault on both sides in almost every relationship, so it was important to me that there was responsibility on Cal’s side as well to help make the relationship better. It wasn’t all in her court to figure it out.

That’s also a huge departure from what we usually see in most affair narratives, whether in the media or in the movies. There’s usually a clear villain and a victim, and there wasn’t in this film.

That was a very specific note that I had—that there needs to be movement on both sides. That’s just the reality of it. You can’t speak for every relationship, but more often than not there is responsibility on both sides.

HP: A comedy about divorce: not exactly clear comedy fodder.

SC: Yeah! It’s a tough topic and a challenging sell because here’s a movie about divorce, relationships, and love and it’s also funny. But I think so much humor comes out of pain and growth and forgiveness.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar: I Smoked Pot With My Mom

MARK-PAUL GOSSELAR

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is no pothead, but that doesn’t mean hasn’t toked up with his parents in the past.

The former “Saved By the Bell” star stopped by “Lopez Tonight” to chat with George Lopez and revealed that he and his family enjoyed some herbal refreshments while in Holland.

“When we were in Holland, in Amsterdam, [it’s like a] ‘when in Rome’ kind of thing,” he said, referring to the country’s looser marijuana laws. “You just go to a hash bar.”

“The last time I was in Amsterdam with my parents, I was 18, and I was with my mother, and we got high together,” he said. “She’ll deny it. She’ll totally deny it, but she got f***ed up.”

But don’t think Gosselaar started lighting up all the time.

“I didn’t abuse it, because I’m not a pothead. I didn’t think it was significant,” he said. “If I was a pothead, and really into weed, getting high with my parents would be the most monumental thing of my life,” adding that he just didn’t think it was big deal at all at the time.

But scoring some weed isn’t even on Gosselaar’s radar these days. The father of two, who recently divorced his wife of 15 years, was spotted catching some waves over the weekend with his son, Michael, in Dana Point, California.

And now the actor has something to really celebrate. His TNT show, “Franklin and Bash” was just picked up for a second season.

Jennifer Lawrence In ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’? Actress In Talks For Mark Wahlberg Drama

Mark Wahlberg & Jennifer Lawrence

Dating Jennifer Lawrence would be way more than a little silver lining for most, but hey, this is Hollywood.

Deadline is reporting that Mark Wahlberg and David O. Russell have chosen the “Winter’s Bone” Oscar-nominee and future “it girl” to star in the pair’s “The Fighter” followup, “The Silver Linings Playbook.”

Based on a novel by Matthew Quick, it’s the story of a clinically depressed man who is released from a mental hospital after a number of years, who, according to the writer’s website, “formulates a theory about silver linings: he believes his life is a movie produced by God, his mission is to become physically fit and emotionally supportive, and his happy ending will be the return of his estranged wife Nikki.”

Lawrence would play Tiffany, the very attractive widowed wife of his best friend Ronnie. She begins to secretly pursue and mentor him as the two work to put their lives back together. It’s a role that has been hotly contested, with stars such as Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde reportedly gunning for the job.

The 20-year old is already a commercial and critical star, what with her Best Actress nomination and role in “X-Men: First Class” this summer, and nailing her down now for the job looks to be a prescient move: it would be the first movie she films after the opening chapter of the blockbuster novel series adaptation, “The Hunger Games,” which is already garnering wild buzz and magazine covers. She’ll next appear in “House at the End of the Street.”

As for Wahlberg, he’s as busy as ever; he just finished wrapping up work on the Seth MacFarlane comedy, “Ted,” with Mila Kunis, and is readying to star in a Thanksgiving-themed laugher with Will Ferrell. He’s got a buddy action comedy with Jonah Hill, “Good Time Gang,” in pre-production, as well as “Broken City,” a noir-type film about a shady election in which he’d play a private eye. There’s also the matter of two rumored films, “Billy Jack” and “When Corruption Was King,” as well as that sequel to “The Fighter.”

Oh, and a movie with Justin Bieber, too.
