Justin Bieber Photobombs Katy Perry And Russell Brand (PHOTO)

That Justin Bieber is such a prankster.

The teenage superstar found himself sitting behind Russell Brand and Katy Perry at the MTV VMAs Sunday night, and he just couldn’t help crashing their photos by making funny faces behind them. He tweeted out the photos to his followers Monday.

Photobombs and all, it turned out to be a good night for both Beiber and Perry. Bieber went home with the award for Best Make Video for “U Smile” and Perry walked away with three moon men, including the award for Video of the Year for “Firework.”

Before the show, Bieber even got some camera time with girlfriend Selena Gomez and talked about his pet snake, which he brought with him to the show.

Britney Spears VMAs 2011 PHOTO: Hit Or Miss?

It was a big night for Britney Spears at the VMAs.

At the ripe old age of 29, the veteran pop starlet was receiving a lifetime achievement tribute and she kicked off the evening by accepting Best Pop Video honors for “Till the World Ends.”

But more importantly, what do you think of Brit’s sparkly sequined black romper, which she accessorized with a belt and some fierce footwear?

Video Music Awards’ Executive Producer Talks Lady Gaga And No Host; VMA Preview

The VMA’s always get people talking and this year is no exception.

Except that it is. This year the award show is boldly choosing what few shows have chosen before: no host.

The Hollywood Reporter sat down with executive producer, Jesse Ignjatovic, to explain why they made the choice that they made and to give us a head’s up on what else we can expect.

THR: So no host, huh? Ignjatovic: We talked to different people and ultimately, it just didn’t feel like we needed one this year. Other years, like in 2007, we’ve gone host-less and it worked. If it’s not the right person then [we feel it’s] better to go without. It means better presenter moments potentially, but I don’t think it necessarily changes the landscape of the show.
THR: The VMA build-up has been largely focused on Lady Gaga, who’s opening the show. What does she mean to MTV?
Ignjatovic: She’s a gem. She’s that muse. She’s sort of the artist that’s really pushing boundaries that mean so much to our audience. And she is the artist that everyone is looking to. Like, what is she going to do next to outdo herself and take it to another place? I think she’s inspired other artists to push themselves. I know she’s inspired me and the VMA team.

Lil Mama Takes Jabs at Nicki Minaj, Cries Over Mother

Lil Mama

Lil Mama may not have a song that’s hitting radio airwaves but that doesn’t mean the spotlight isn’t shining upon her. The Brooklyn native recently visited Power 105.1’s the Breakfast Club in New York City to discuss her break from making tracks like her once popular ‘Lip Gloss,’ however, things took a dramatic turn when she broke down in tears when speaking of her deceased mother.

After brushing off insults from host Charlamagne the God, Mama addressed the topic of sitting idle in her music career and let the tears flow as she got emotional. “Listen, I’ve taken a step away from music already,” the rapper told hist Angela Yee. “I’m getting back into the music now. My music will speak for itself. I’m not here to say what I’m gonna do. When I was 17 years old, I put out an album while my mother was dying of cancer. That right there alone is a struggle. That’s hard. That’s tough for anybody. But my music will speak for itself. My actions will speak for itself.”

Clearly angered over the lack of positive support from radio figures like the Breakfast Club hosts, the ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ judge threw out sentiments that seemed to corner Nicki Minaj. “I don’t look at TV or listen to radio and say, ‘I’m gonna be a h– now,’ or ‘Oh, I’m gonna do this now,’ or ‘I’m gonna talk like this,'” she said as she threw her hands from side to side. “Or ‘I’m gonna get a tattoo that says ‘I’m a doll,’ or ‘I’m gonna get a chain that says ‘I’m a doll.’ I’m Lil Mama til the day I die.”

While host DJ Envy claimed her remarks were shots taken at the Young Money MC, the ‘Voice of the Young People’ creator kept on with her statements that she will be using her voice to get back to the music she once made.
